President Barack Obama, through his groundbreaking campaigns and historic elections, has inspired countless artists. He has been likened to President Lincoln, compared to Martin Luther King Jr. and envisioned as a super hero. Today, to mark his second inauguration on MLK Day, I am sharing these images from the Mr. Brainwash exhibit during Art Basel Miami Beach this summer. These works are among the more inspirational, pop art interpretations of the president’s image that I have observed.
