NEW YORK—Imagine spotting this dashing pair in a lush manicured garden. “Sunday,” a collection of new photographs by Ruud van Empel features charming children photoshopped or “digitally collaged” into paradise-like environs wearing their sunday best. The Dutch artist’s approach is meant to “confront the authority and authenticity” of photography and create an almost “cinematic experience.”
“Sunday” is on view at STUX Gallery from Sept. 13 to Oct. 20, 2012.
