Michael Murphy’s Layered Sculptures Explore Dimension

NEW YORK—Michael Murphy‘s constructs his works by layering materials to create dimension. He is showing two installations at Gallery Nine 5. The Milledgeville, Ga.-based artist uses hundreds of popsicle sticks to give perspective to a sculpture of St. Sebastian and suspended layers of graduated color to execute a portrait of Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook.
