NEW YORK—It looks like someone is watching everyone who walks up The High Line near West 18th Street. Artist Anne Collier’s eye is gazing at passersby. Collier is the second artist chosen by the public park to participate in its billboard art series. Her work, which examines the photography process, was introduced this month.
According to the High Line, “The image depicts a developing tray containing a print of a wide open eye—the artist’s eye—submerged in photographic developing fluid.”
Collier’s billboard will be on display from Feb. 1 to Feb. 29, 2012.
