NEW YORK—Matthias Pliessnig uses rustic materials to create incredible contemporary sculptures.
His bent wood chair was a part of “Serenity Now,” a recent exhibit at Milavec Hakimi Gallery, and last year his work was included in the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s “History in the Making: Renwick Craft Invitational.”
