NEW YORK—Throughout New York, many storefronts retain subtle evidence of their previous tenants. The J. Crew men’s shop in Tribeca celebrates and embraces its historic location.
Housed in the neighborhood’s famous Liquor Store, the retailer has incorporated the store’s ethos in its branding. There is no “J. Crew” logo out front, but “Wines” is gold-leafed on the window. Features of the interior—including a large wood bar—have been preserved too.
The location opened in 2008 and was the retailer’s first stand-along men’s shop.

To see a brand as big and powerful as J. Crew do something like this to preserve the cities heritage is really amazing. Props to them!
