NEW YORK—The holiday season has officially begun. Last night, Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled its holiday windows. This year’s theme is “Land of the Bubblemakers” and the fantasy scenes feature evening wear from top designer worn among all-white “bubblemaking machines.” The elaborate displays are an annual tradition and the windows are fabulous.

This year, Saks holiday spectacular also includes an animated show projected on the facade of the flagship store. The bubble-themed program includes a 13-minute, machine propelled countdown to showtime.
I am a native new yorker and this had to be the ugliest and most non-holiday windows i have ever seen. eleven of us went to see them last nite and were so disappointed.
